The International Contemporary Furniture Fair (ICFF) takes place May 15-18 at the Javits Convention Center in New York City. More than 500 national and international exhibitors will be displaying the finest and most creative home and contract products from around the world. Over the years, the show has grown to encompass the latest in contemporary kitchen and bath products, as well as the best in contemporary furniture. Here are a few notable products and showrooms that you should keep an eye out for.
LAUFEN
LAUFEN, one of the leading manufacturers of luxury bathroom products, will be showing their mimo, Lb3, and ILBAGNOALESSI dOt collections at ICFF in booth 1147.
The mimo collection was the winner of the 2009 red dot award, which is given to honor the year’s outstanding design quality and trendsetters. It has been called the “Mini Cooper of the bathroom fleet” and features modestly-sized sinks, toilets, vanities and a small bathtub. Mimo is uniquely retro and hip; it comes in black and white, or pink with graphic prints.
Mimo is also a mindful collection. Its compact size saves space without sacrificing comfort and it features eco-friendly materials, including furniture made from recycled materials and toilets that are WaterSense labeled.
The Lb3 collection of sinks is based on three styles: modern, classic and design. The “modern” collection of sinks [pictured] features linear, clean contours, and is a tribute to both modern and Bauhaus styles. Lb3 also features a wide array of wall-mount and floor standing toilets, wood-encased freestanding bathtubs and simple, yet elegant vanities.
The use of black is a recent trend in bathroom architecture and interior design. LAUFEN takes this concept and brings high fashion into this space with their ILBAGNOALESSI dOt collection that features hip black matte ceramic pieces. LAUFEN’s award-winning TamTam washbasin is an exquisite piece characterized by an asymmetrical shape and a smooth, leather-inspired texture. Images provided by: laufen.com/usa
