We’re stamping our passport and taking a trip to Italy! It’s time for Cersaie 2012, the international ceramic tile and bathroom furnishings expo taking place September 25-29 at the Bologna Exhibition Centre. This expo brings together the best designers and architects from the international bath and kitchen communities. Cersaie is a prestigious place for companies to introduce new collections, showing off innovations in technology and design.

While we’re anticipating experiencing new brands and unexpected design trends via Cersaie’s exhibits, here are five companies that we’ve singled out as must visits:

LAUFEN
The Swiss company LAUFEN, known as the leading global manufacturer of modern bathroom solutions, will be showcasing an expanded bathroom furniture collection and an expansion to their popular Palomba line. Designed in collaboration with Italian couple Robert and Ludovica Palomba, the Palomba collection continues their line of beautiful organic-inspired ceramic vessels for the bathroom.

DEVON & DEVON
Staying true to its trademark style, the Florence-based based Devon & Devon will introduce a variety of new pieces taking inspiration from the past. These designs include a hand-crafted Breakfast at Tiffany’s inspired Holly sofa and an Art Deco-inspired Jetset vanity with matching Vogue mirror.

GRAFF
GRAFF is an internationally recognized company known for their cutting edge design and engineering of faucets and plumbing accessories. They will showcase expansions to their innovative Ametis, Aqua-Sense and Sento lines. We’ve seen photos of these products but we really can’t wait to see them live.

IRIS CERAMICA
Iris Ceramica, a leading manufacturer of eco-friendly glazed porcelain and ceramic tiles, will debut two new collections: Bellagio and Victoria. Made in collaboration with IRIS Italian design, we’re psyched to see how this dream team comes together.

KERION CERAMICS
Portugal’s Kerion Ceramics takes pride in producing customized, exceptionally crafted ceramic tile. The brand’s “creation without limits” philosophy plays into every piece executed, with technologically and aesthetically produced ceramic pieces that take cues from global design and fashion trends.
