Twice a year lovers of lighting and great design unite at The Dallas International Lighting Market to experience the latest and greatest in all things lighting. And it’s clear why – with more than one million square feet of resources from all major lighting manufacturers, visitors get a truly comprehensive look at new lighting products, technology and more. We recently attended Dallas Market to check out what illuminating lighting trends are on the horizon. The best part about going to Dallas Market is getting to see new designs in person and learning the inspiration behind them. This proved especially true at Littman Brands, one of the standout lighting manufacturer showrooms we visited. Littman Brands is comprised of a variety of different lighting companies, each with their own unique style and flavor. What’s particularly striking about their products is the amount of detail that goes into them – something that can truly only be experienced up close. Here are some of the highlights from the Littman Brands showroom at Dallas Market.

Hudson Valley Lighting, known for styles ranging from historic to artisan and transitional to contemporary, introduced more than 50 new collections. Many were traditional designs with a subtle, modern twist, including the well-received Glendale pendant, with an explosive sputnik orbital center, and Oyster Bay, a delicate sconce with a scalloped shade and backplate.

Beautiful materials and special processes were also showcased, including Pamelia’s unique double-sided glass hurricanes, Willet’s bell-jar mouth-blown glass lanterns, and a material new to Hudson Valley – acrylic – as seen in Andover (above)  and Travis.
