If your laptop has been lacking in the “style” department, then this new “Designer Studio” line of Dell laptops might just be the stylish computing power you need. While the designers themselves have nothing to do with the actual circuit boards and processors of the laptops, the external (case or cover) designs have been created entirely by a number of hip, trendy, and well known designers and artists. With over 200 different possibilities and customizations, you can surely find a stylish laptop to fit your fashionable lifestyle. All of these designs have a number of variations, we’ve only shown a few of our favorites.

Klaus Haapaniemi

The top flowery cover has been designed by Klaus Haapaniemi who is a well known Finnish artist who makes his living as a fashion designer and illustrator. He is most well known for his clothing prints for companies such as Diesel, Levis, Marimekko, Dolce & Gabbana, Cacharel and Bela’s Dead which is a new brand.

The bottom design, also by Klaus is perfect for Fall and is my personal favorite.  Klaus said when describing his laptop designs: “I wanted to give the work a positive feel to complement the (PRODUCT)RED™ characteristics in a subtle way.” – Klaus Haapaniemi

What might be mistaken for a Midwest sunset or early morning sky, these PCs were designed by photographer Ben Grieme who got his inspiration from following punk bands throughout the Midwest when in his younger years.

Alexia Stamatiou

alexia

Alexia Stamatiou’s work comes from the subconscious idea of a romantic notion as it pertains to a world of fantasy, light, color and conversation. Frequently attracted to poetic metaphors in images such as ships, skulls, trees and people, Stamatiou’s work involves a misty narrative of fantasy and myth — a sense of story. In this piece, her brainstorming went from external to internal, culminating in the depiction of an actual moment of personal illumination.

Tristan Eaton

Tristan Eaton is the true definition of the modern urban artist.  Not committed to one medium, Tristan multi-tasks effortlessly moving from pencil and paper to paint brush and canvas to computer to city wall. Eaton designed his first toy for Fisher Price at 18 years old and has since become a driving force in the world of ‘Designer Toys’.  Eaton was the head designer behind world famous toy brand Kidrobot and has designed their most influential ‘Art Toys’ including Dunny, Munny and more.

“This image is inspired by the work of Gustav Klimt and his uncanny ability to create beauty with patterns and the female form.  I’ve interpreted this style and added my own drawing style and line quality to the figure.  I also applied a digital interpretation of patterns commonly used in my work.” – Tristan Eaton
